When your word hasn't come true
"..until the time that his word came to pass, the word of the LORD tested him."
The chief cupbearer, however, did not remember Joseph; he forgot him. Now it happened at the end of two full years... Then Pharaoh sent and called for Joseph, and they hurriedly brought him out of the dungeon; and when he had shaved himself and changed his clothes, he came to Pharaoh.
I was thinking about this issue of waiting for God when you believe he has promised you something. I think it's normal to feel frustration and disappointment. It says that the word of the Lord tested him. The word there for tested is the same word used for the refining fire that the goldsmith puts gold through to make it pure: "goldsmithing".
