God is always good

". . . neither he nor his parents sinned. But that the works of God should be revealed in him, I must work . . ." (translation by David Guzik)
John 9:3

Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them: do you think that they were worse offenders than all the others who lived in Jerusalem?
Luke 13:4

Though he slay me, yet will I hope in him;
Job 13:15

If when someone dies too early in their life, or when some other suffering is visited upon you, you might be tempted to think it was God's fault and that the event says God is not good, but think again. God is always good. God is not powerless, but God allows things to happen that are not what He wants. We know that God can and does intervene to stop bad things, but often when He does not, there is no perceivable reason that we can find. But, because we do not understand, it does not mean that God is not good. God is good and we don't understand the why.
