Revival prayer

A prayer of Habakkuk the prophet. On shigionoth .

LORD, I have heard of your fame;
I stand in awe of your deeds, O LORD.
Renew them in our day,
in our time make them known;
in wrath remember mercy.

Habakkuk 3:1-2 (NIV)

Have you heard about what God has done in the past? Do you know about the great awakenings in the US? Do you know about revival history? God has moved massive numbers of people from darkness to light in a short period of time. Heaven has invaded earth. The impossible became possible in a moments time.

There is no other hope for the world nor the church than God's direct intervention. The church does not need new programs or new styles or forms. What's needed is the raw power of God to change things- to change hearts from darkness to light, from the kingdom of Satan to the kingdom of God.

We don't want to just talk about God, we want God. We don't just want to learn about what God did or can do or might do, but we want God to do it now. No learning or fellowship or discipleship will do what we need. We need God. We need God's action, God's intervention, God's rule and reign. We need ministers who will be quiet and stand back in awe and watch God move.

We won't be satisfied unless we have God in our midst. Let the guest of honor be in your meetings. Ask God to speak and minister. Get out of the way. Make room for a big Good.
