"At least there is hope for a tree:
If it is cut down, it will sprout again,
and its new shoots will not fail.
Its roots may grow old in the ground
and its stump die in the soil,
yet at the scent of water it will bud
and put forth shoots like a plant.
In God there is hope of restoration, of revival. Whatever you have lost, God can bring it back; even dead things. In fact, only lost things can be restored and only dead things can be revived. You can't pretend there wasn't a loss or pretend something is vitally alive that really needs to be brought back to life. There's an aknowledgement that is needed.
