The enduring love of God
Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good.
His love endures forever.
Psalm 136:1
The Lord's love goes on and on and on... It never stops. Nothing stops it. God loves you and me the same no matter what. Something to consider if you are going through a hard time. God loves you the same as he does when good times are upon you. Bad times, sickness, defeat, brokenness of all kinds, or failure; the list is endless. None of these stop God's love or are a sign of his lack of love.
God is called "the Lord" because he is Lord of all, whether acknowledged or not. He is also Lord over every circumstance. Even if the negative thing is not changing for the better, God is still Lord over it and the person(s) in the midst of it can reach out to God in it.
