Semper Fidelis (Always Faithful)

Who is like you, Lord God of heavenly forces?
Mighty Lord, your faithfulness surrounds you!
Your throne is built on righteousness and justice;
loyal love and faithfulness stand in front of you.

I have an announcement to make.  God is always faithful.  Great is God's faithfulness.  It is part of God's character.  God is trustworthy, reliable, and loyal.  God is so faithful that you and I can always put our faith in him.

Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father,
There is no shadow of turning with Thee;
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not
As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be.

Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see;
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided—
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!

God is always faithful.  Every good and perfect gift comes from God who does not waver (James 1:16-18).  If you are in the pits, depressed, down and out, beat up, or suffering; there are still new mercies coming to you from God, a glimmer of hope, because God is always faithful (Lamentations 3:1-33).  You aren't grabbing at straws, but holding onto Him.

Paul encouraged the Corinthians three times that God is faithful (1 Cor. 1:9, 10:13, 2 Cor. 1:18).

Paul told the Galatians that we are made righteous through the faithfulness of Christ (Gal. 2:16, 2:20, 3:22).

Then I saw heaven opened, and there was a white horse. Its rider was called Faithful and True, and he judges and makes war justly. -Rev. 19:11

In the book of Revelation is not merely John's Revelation, but it is The Revelation of Jesus Christ (Rev. 1:1).  The book of Revelation, chapters 1 through 19:10 are in a sense an introduction to the revelation of Jesus Christ.  John declares that Jesus is faithful and true.  If Jesus is anything, in his nature, he is faithful and true.  That is good news.

As a Christian, you are putting your trust, your faith into and onto a person who is faithful.  It is personal and it is relational.  We trust the Bible, because it is God's word.  But it is the person whom we put our trust in.  It is personal and it is relational.

Semper Fidelis is Latin for Always Faithful

God is always faithful.

Faithful One so unchanging
Ageless One You’re my rock of peace
Lord of all I depend on You
I call out to You, again and again
I call out to You, again and again

You are my rock in times of trouble
You lift me up when I fall down
All through the storm
Your love is the anchor
My hope is in You alone
