rest and bless

My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from Him.

In repentance and rest is your salvation.

Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,
for I am gentle and humble in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls.

I will bless the Lord at all times;
His praise shall continually be in my mouth.

These two ideas are what I'm living in to today: rest and bless. Rest is a weapon of warfare against my enemy. It seems like a no brainer, but I come back to it again and again; that I need rest. That mostly means sleep, but also relaxation: r&r. Rest and relaxation bring renewal to me. Taking a nap or getting to bed can be a form of spiritual warfare because it makes the statement that God is in control. I'm getting my hands "off the wheel" and I'm getting rested and refreshed for walking out my life.

The second idea is that blessing God, praising God, speaking God's word, or meditating on it; is the opposite of worrying and speaking negatively.
