Pleasing to God

What would be the best Christmas gift for you, from God? Just for you and about you, from the Almighty. How about hearing God tell you that you please Him?

Nobody is perfect or sinless except the Lord Jesus Christ. God is looking for something that pleases Him in men and women, girls and boys.

The word "pleasing" might be a bit old-fashioned. It means to give pleasure. Pleasure is still sort of old-fashioned as well. It can mean a sense of sensual well-being, but it usually means to have a sense of gratification, joy, or delight. God may be pleased or not pleased and it's wonderful to be pleasing to God.

One of the two men in the Bible who didn't go through death, but was taken by God, while alive, is Enoch. The record in Genesis says that he walked with God. What does walking with God mean?

One verse that mentions walking with God, might also describe it:

He has shown you Oh man,
what is good and what the Lord requires of you:
To do justice and to love mercy,
And to walk humbly with your God.
Michah 6:8

Abstaining from sexual immorality pleases God (1Thess. 4)
Sacrificial giving pleases God (Phil. 4).
Doing good and sharing pleases God (Hebrews 13).

To hear God whisper, "you are pleasing to me". Is a priceless gift.
