Grace gifts for Christ-followers

But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift.

Ephesians 4:7

To each one of us: Everybody gets in the mix. Everyone gets to play. Everyone participates. Everyone is a potential. No one is left out. No one just observes or is passive. Everyone is activated.

Grace was given: Grace is the empowering presence of God. Grace is favor. Grace is a divine token.

According to the measure of Christ's gift: Each one receives through the generosity of Christ (NLT).

If you do a study or read a book or listen to a series or take a class on spiritual gifts, Ephesians 4 will probably be discussed. In my experience, most studies gravitate to the later verses that mention apostles, prophets, pastor-teachers, and evangelists. All spiritual gifts are more functions than offices. All believers can prophesy or heal or teach or encourage or give a word of wisdom or a word of knowledge or help or even do a miracle. Every believer may not have a gift in the list of five or function in that giftedness, but still be gifted, according to the description in Ephesians 4:7, "to each one grace is given", and that grace is a gift.
