Psalm 75 is a prophetic word and response about the justice of God, now, in our time.
We give thanks to you, God; we give thanks to you, for your name is near.
People tell about your wondrous works.

The title of Psalm 75 in the CSB is "God Judges The Wicked".
"Thanksgiving For God's Righteous Judgement", is what the NKJV says.
Instead of words to God, much of this psalm are God's words to us; a prophetic word:
"When I choose a time, I will judge fairly."
"When the earth and all its inhabitants shake, I am the one who steadies its pillars."
"I say to the boastful, ‘Do not boast,’ and to the wicked, ‘Do not lift up your horn."
"Do not lift up your horn against heaven or speak arrogantly."
“I will cut off all the horns of the wicked, but the horns of the righteous will be lifted up.”
Listen, this is God speaking.
Besides the opening words of thanks, the psalmist and we too say:
"Exaltation does not come from the east, the west, or the desert,
for God is the Judge:
He brings down one and exalts another
"...For there is a cup in the Lord’s hand, full of wine blended with spices, and he pours from it.
All the wicked of the earth will drink, draining it to the dregs.
As for me, I will tell about him forever; I will sing praise to the God of Jacob."

A lesson here is that we speak to God with prayers and worship, then God speaks to us. God is not mute today nor done speaking.
God has something to say. We sing to and talk to and talk about God, singularly and together. But we can forget that God wants to speak sometimes.
This is something we want to find and not lose. Make space for God to speak in your 24/7 life and in your worship gatherings.
When we come together, we come from being with God, experiencing God; and share with others about that.
We do find God at the gathering and there is an increase, multiplication, and concentration of God's presence there, that we can become positively addicted to.
But the thanksgiving we share together in the gathering is from what God has been doing in our lives outside the meeting.
"People tell about your wondrous works."
We are already living in thankfulness and God's-name-nearness, before the worship meeting.
Another point of Psalm 75 is that God is working judgments and justice in time and history.
The judgements and justice of God are not something that only happen at the end of the age, but are ongoing throughout history.
We can expect God to act, but the timing is up to God.
We can expect God to promote and deny, to exalt and to cast down.
God deals with wicked people, here in time, before death, out of mercy.
It is a warning and a witness.
When God judges wicked people, he is really dealing with the demonic behind them, that is harming people.
