I have been with you wherever you have gone, and I have destroyed all your enemies before you. I will make a great name for you like that of the greatest on the earth.

Friends may fail me, foes assail me,
He, my Savior, makes me whole.

Hallelujah! what a Friend!
Saving, helping, keeping, loving,

Comment: Is Jesus our friend and the Savior? What is the reciprocal nature of our friendship with him? And how do we know we are his friend? And why is it repulsive to the religious person, that Jesus would be friendly to 'sinners', to the 'unwashed' and not fully regenerated person? (Luke 7:34)
“This is my command: Love one another as I have loved you. No one has greater love than this: to lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command you. I do not call you servants anymore, because a servant doesn’t know what his master is doing. I have called you friends, because I have made known to you everything I have heard from my Father.
