You, God, showered abundant rain; you revived your inheritance when it languished.

-Psalm 16:9 *

Then the earth shook and quaked; the foundations of the mountains trembled; they shook because he burned with anger.
-Psalm 18:7

The sorrows of those who take another god for themselves will multiply;
I will not pour out their drink offerings of blood, and I will not speak their names with my lips.
-Psalm 16:4

-----------------------
* The phrase “my glory rejoices” (NASB) means David rejoiced that his glory as a living person blessed by God would continue to be a source of joy for him. God would spare his life. Of course, David did not mean he would live forever. He only meant that he would not die then.
