Weep with those who weep
weep with those who weep
-Romans 12:15
The context of this verse is how to live in harmony and love with each other.
Empathy is a Christian virtue. Empathy is the ability to understand and share the feelings of another person.
Just showing up for someone and being present in their life is the most important part.
We share our brother or sister’s sorrow.
We should listen to the one who is in sorrow more than we speak.
Sometimes we will sit in silence with them.
Remember that we are part of the body of Christ and when one suffers we all suffer.
We need to remember that we are all connected.
We are commanded here to step inside another person’s pain and make it our own.
With another person’s painful situation, we need to respect what we do not understand.
We need to dignify, give dignity, which means value and respect to people who are suffering.
When someone is suffering or in sorrow, we stand by them, share their experience, and support them.
The heart of Christian fellowship is the call to love authentically; conveying God’s love to one another.
Our faith is not merely our beliefs but showcasing for the world the living expression, the testimony of the love of God.
How we weep with those who weep is we listen and support one another letting, and we are here for them and together with them in whatever they are going through.
